With two hard drives and Raid 1 the MCS targets “mission critical” applications in government agencies and companies where redundancy is required to continue operations until a hard drive replacement can be scheduled. The model MCS was specifically developed to allow government agencies and smaller companies to transition to a professional voice logging system at a price they could easily justify. Although the system is primarily designed for “station side” (user and/or extension) recording with a passive tap to analog lines the system can also be used in conjunction with a digital PBX if a “handset” installation or the use of digital to analog converters are appropriate to the system requirements. In these situations the customer savings as compared to digital integration can be extremely significant.
