The CYA is a system designed primarily for “station side” (individual channel or extension) recording with a passive tap to analog lines – however it is important to note that the CYA can also be used in conjunction with a digital PBX system if either a “handset” or “trunk side” installation is appropriate to the requirements. The CYA was specifically developed to allow smaller companies the benefits of a professional and feature rich voice logging system at a price they could easily justify. In situations where a digital PBX is involved the difference in the cost of the model CYA using a handset installation versus the cost of integration with a PBX using a competitive system can be extremely substantial. In some cases integration with a digital PBX will be an absolute requirement – but in many other cases the opportunity for significant cost savings using the model CYA and a handset installation should be more than obvious.
